If you haven't heard me enough hear me again. I LOVE NYC! It truly is a special place, its exciting, fast, fun, the streets are filled with people, and coming from a California girl you get a taste of all 4 seasons. If you've been before this will bring back memories of that special scent of warm pizza to your nose, the sound of the live jazz band as you stroll through Washington Square Park, and the taste of the brisk air of spring while the sun is out. Our Mimi Chica AND new line Mia Chica --a kids line we are all SUUUPER excited about-- is killing it at our appointments!

A long time friend of mine from elementary school (yes takin it waaaay back)is on a show called Mad Men, some of you may have heard of it ;-) her name is Caity Lotz.

She invited me to a special Banana Republic x Mad Men release party last night and I say why wear BR when I can wear Mimi Chica (duh). I got inspired and decided to try on the samples I have with me which are indeed in store RIGHT NOW at Nordstrom AND a few pieces are from Nordstrom Rack. IF you are on a budget these price points are unbeatable. I think with my new bang trim and bleached out brows (thank you Kamie Nielson of Warren Tricomi) it gives my wanna-be Mad Men style a little modern and edgy flaaaava!

My roommate woke up to a text from a friend saying "it's Johnny Cash's birthday I want to celebrate, I want to have a séance and I want to connect."

This inspired me to pull out the Ouija board, light some candles, try on Mimi Chica outfits (available in-store AND online now!)

Hey Boo's I just landed in NYC and it is freezing and snowing! From a California girl snow is very exciting and any chance I can get decked out in coats I loveeeee. I've got a lot of fun work things planned like trend shop for fall, get inspired by all the kool kidz roaming the streets for fashion week, attend a few events, have lunch with inspiring artists/designers who happen to be my friends, take photos of everything I love here and try and stay warm!
